Hazel Nali Promises a Return: “I’ll Be Back”

COPPER Queens’ Goalkeeper Hazel Nali Eager for Comeback After Injury Setback

Hazel Nali, the stalwart goalie for the COPPER Queens, is anticipating her return to the field after a prolonged period on the sidelines due to a significant knee injury.

Her absence from the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand resulted from this injury, prompting her recent return to Zambia from New Zealand, where she underwent crucial surgery. Now, she’s embarked on the next phase of her recovery journey.

Expressing heartfelt gratitude on Facebook, Nali conveyed appreciation for the immense support received during her injury-induced setback.

“During my time in New Zealand, I faced an untimely injury just before the World Cup, a tournament I’ve always aspired to be part of since my youth.

This injury made me question my ability to return to the game I love, but the unwavering care in New Zealand instilled hope,” shared Nali.

She extended gratitude to Dr. Mwandila, High Commissioner Dr. Elias Munshya, and various stakeholders for their unwavering support.

“I’m filled with hope as I strive to reignite my career on the field within a reasonable time frame. The support and encouragement from everyone in New Zealand during my recovery were invaluable. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the Zambian Government, Sports Minister Mr. Elvis Nkandu, for the supportive role you’ve played, the Football Association of Zambia, the Ministry, and the people back home for their unwavering encouragement,” Nali concluded.
