Government Hasn’t Paid Artistes Their Dues – B Flow!!

Renowned Music Artist – B Flow Discloses That Government Through The Ministry Of Youth, Sport And Arts Has Been Owing Money To Various Artists Who Performed At The 2023 Agricultural And Commercial Show.

B Flow Further Alleged That Government Only Settled Artists Who Supported The Ruling Party And Neglected Artists Who Were Believed To Have Been Supporting The Opposition Party.

“We wish to categorically state that we are deeply disturbed to learn that performance fees for artists who support the ruling party who performed at the same event have been cleared while the rest of the artists have been waiting for more than 8 months”.

B Flow However Questions How The Government Could Seek Artistry Services And Later Fail To Pay For The Services After An Agreed Period Of Time.

“The question is why did you request for their services in the first place if you knew there was no money to pay them within the legally stipulated period? How possible is it that an event can be organized without a budget?”

Meanwhile, The Zambia Association of Musicians (ZAM) Is Proving To Be A Toothless Body At The Moment. ZAM Has Not Helped These Artists Be Remunerated For The Entertainment Services Government Contracted Them To Provide.
